Mental health is an integral part of achieving a healthy life, meaning that humans as holistic beings are related to 3 elements including organobiology, psychology and socio-culture.<br style="box-sizing: inherit;" />If one of the above elements cannot be fulfilled properly, humans are not categorized as healthy. What do you know about mental health?</h3><p style="box-sizing: inherit; line-height: 28.8px; margin: 0px 0px 1.5rem; padding: 0px; text-rendering: optimizelegibility;">I do not describe mental health scientifically from the perspective of medicine and psychiatric specialization, but here I will describe mental health in general in language that is common and easily understood by the general public.</p><p style="box-sizing: inherit; line-height: 28.8px; margin: 0px 0px 1.5rem; padding: 0px; text-rendering: optimizelegibility;">Mental health can be defined as a condition in which a person is in a normal state, meaning that he is able to control his psychology through an ego/cooping defense mechanism. This condition will encourage the creation of a productive quality of life. As social beings, humans are inseparable from social interaction, there is a reciprocal relationship between one another so as to produce effective communication as expected.</p><p style="box-sizing: inherit; line-height: 28.8px; margin: 0px 0px 1.5rem; padding: 0px; text-rendering: optimizelegibility;">Conversely, the inability to control emotions in social interaction will actually trigger conflict and cause psychological stress such as stress, social isolation and other negative activities.</p><p style="box-sizing: inherit; line-height: 28.8px; margin: 0px 0px 1.5rem; padding: 0px; text-rendering: optimizelegibility;">That is a general definition that I can describe in the first point.</p><h3 style="box-sizing: inherit; color: inherit; font-family: "source sans pro", "helvetica neue", Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 23.04px; line-height: 1.2 !important; margin: 2rem 0px 0.3rem; padding: 0px; text-rendering: optimizelegibility;">2. What causes mental health disorders?</h3><p style="box-sizing: inherit; line-height: 28.8px; margin: 0px 0px 1.5rem; padding: 0px; text-rendering: optimizelegibility;">Mental health can be caused by various factors:</p><ol style="box-sizing: inherit; line-height: 1.6; list-style-position: outside; margin: 0px 0px 1rem 2rem; padding: 0px;"><li style="box-sizing: inherit; font-size: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">Genetic Factors<br style="box-sizing: inherit;" />In certain cases, genetics is a predisposing factor for mental health disorders. In a simpler explanation, I would like to illustrate that in a gene that is passed on to children with families who have a history of mental disorders, it will be a carrier trait. Psychological Factors Individuals with a family history of mental disorders are more likely to experience mental health disorders. For this reason, a good coping defense mechanism is needed in managing stress with various backgrounds.</li><li style="box-sizing: inherit; font-size: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">Head Injury Factor<br style="box-sizing: inherit;" />Head trauma can also cause mental disorders, brain and nervous system disorders due to collisions that occur will damage the function of the brain and nerves so that they cannot work optimally so that the head becomes another vital organ besides the heart, lungs and kidneys whose health must be maintained.</li><li style="box-sizing: inherit; font-size: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">Psychological Factors<br style="box-sizing: inherit;" />Psychological burden will have an impact on a person's mental health, currently many suicides occur due to the inability of individuals to manage their psychology, what is needed is how individual efforts to manage stress through good coping defense mechanisms. In certain cases, mental disorders are indeed due to psychological factors that do not occur spontaneously, but over a long period of time, a person who experiences a psychological disorder will slowly experience a phase of mental disorder, starting at mild and even severe levels.
